Basic Reality ("we", "the app") is a Telegram Mini App at t.me/Basic_reality_bot where users mint NFTs representing 20×20m squares on a world map, built on the TON blockchain.

1. What we collect

Telegram account data Telegram gives us when you open the app: your Telegram ID, first/last name, username, language code, and (if public) profile photo.
Location data: only the map coordinates you actively choose when placing or claiming a square. We don't track your location in the background.
Wallet data: your TON wallet address, only once you connect it via TON Connect — used to mint, buy, sell, and receive NFTs and payouts.
Content you add: photos and text attached to a pin/NFT.
Anonymized usage analytics (Google Analytics, TON Builders / Telegram Analytics) to understand which features get used.

2. How we use it

To run the core service: minting NFTs, showing pins on the map, computing rarity/rent/leaderboards, and processing payouts.
To send Telegram notifications about your pins (likes, comments, rent, referrals) — mutable anytime in Settings.
To prevent abuse (rate limiting, fraud checks).

3. Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. Limited data is shared only with services required to run the app: GetGems (NFT minting & marketplace), Pinata (IPFS image storage), and the TON blockchain itself. Once minted, your wallet address and NFT metadata become public and permanent on-chain, as with any blockchain transaction — this can't be undone by us.

4. Retention & your choices

We keep account/pin data for as long as your pins exist or as needed to run the service. Cached Telegram avatars refresh every 7 days. You can mint anonymously (your NFT and in-app profile show "Anonymous" instead of your name), mute notifications in Settings, or contact @basic_reality_chat to request deletion of your off-chain profile data (on-chain NFT data is immutable and outside our control).

5. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves; the latest version always lives at this URL.
